Druid
Talents
Talents
are what makes each individual druid different from another. Basically
what talents do is enhance one or more aspects of your abilities.
Each of the druid's 3 talent trees represent one of such aspects,
although each tree also have talents which may benefit something
it doesn't represent.
How
do talent points work?
Starting
at level 10, you will receive 1 talent point each level until
level 60, granting you 51 talent points total which you can spread
across 1-3 of your talent trees. Every tree has 7 tiers, and to
put talents on a certain tier, you must have a certain number
of points invested in previous tiers of that tree. The general
formula for the number of points you must have invested for a
certain tier is (current tier - 1) x 5. For example, if you want
to invest points into tier 4, you have have (4-1)x5 = 15 points
in that tree before you can put points in tier 4. Also note that
some specific talents have prerequisites, denoted by an arrow
in your talent tree.
But
that's all easy stuff. The hard part is picking talents as your
level and at level 60. Druids get 151 possible slots to put talents
in, so how do you make an informed decision on what talent spec
to go into? Respeccing your talent is possible, but it does get
expensive after you do it severla times, so it's a good idea to
think carefully about where to place your talents.
First,
take a look the overview of the 3 druid trees. I also made some
comments on certain talents which I think are noteworthy:
Balance
- Primarily focuses on damage spells
Feral - Primary focuses
on bear/cat form DPS
Restoration - Primarily
focuses on healing spells
And
below is a list of some common/popular end spec (with all 51 points),
as well as their pros/cons. And also some recommendations for
specs while leveling up (some early tier stats don't benefit much
early level but are great for end-game):
